The gut renovation and rear addition of this wood frame row house in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn included the restoration of many of the building’s original details. The one-story rear addition allowed the clients to create an owner’s duplex within the garden and parlor floor, and a one bedroom rental unit on the top floor. The owners installed new radiant heating, a green roof garden, with a terrace was located atop the roof of the new addition. And with our client – acting as his own contractor, the project became a labor of love.
